In mid-April the Fundashon Desaroyo Deportivo Korsou (FDDK)-organized “Interinsular Games” took place on the island of Bonaire. Young athletes from Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Sint Maarten, Saba & St.Eustatius came together to compete across a variety of sports including dodgeball, basketball and athletics. We are so proud of our Cheetah athletes that qualified to represent Curacao’s athletics delegation, including Anhaïs Ahrendt and Ju-an Carolina, on the U-12 Girls & U-14 Girls teams, respectively.
Anhaïs and Ju-an excelled at the event, with the former winning a silver overall medal in the U-12 category, and the latter a bronze overall in the U-14 group. Both were part of gold medal-winning mixed relay teams in their groups; and they helped Curacao win the team overall gold medal. Excellent job Cheetahs!
