Curaçao Atletiek Bond “June Competition” took place on June 22nd, at Sentro Deportivo Korsou (SDK) in Curaçao. Unlike previous CAB meets this season, this was a one-day event, so it was a busy and action-packed opportunity for our Cheetah athletes.

Although no physical/actual medals were awarded to event winners during this Meet, all results are official, and are therefore just as valid as those of other Meets. That said, the Cheetah athletes scored a total of 20 top-3 finishes: 6 first place, 6 second place and 8 third place.
A few highlights:
Daniel earned 2 3rd place finishes in the U-15 boys 1000m and long jump event. He also set 2 new PBs across his events, including breaking 5 meters in the long jump!
Brevon made his Cheetah debut in this meet, and came home with a 3rd place finish in the U-13 boys 600m event!
Ju-An scored a dominant 1st place finish in the U-13 girls 600m event, and added 3 3rd place finishes in the long jump, 80m and ball throw events. She achieved PBs in 3 out of her 4 events.
Ny-An scored 2 1st place finishes, in the U-11 girls 60m & 600m races; and added a 2nd place and a 3rd place in the long jump and ball throw, respectively.
Anhaïs earned a 1st place finish in the U-11 long jump, and 3 2nd place finishes in the 60m, 600m and ball throw events.
Matthew had a great meet, earning 2 1st place finishes in the U-9 boys long jump and 60m events, and added a a 2nd place and a 3rd place finish in the ball throw and 400m events, respectively.
Maya earned a 2nd place finish in the U-9 girls ball throw, but unfortunately couldn’t continue in the subsequent events due to injury.
