The CAB 2025 Season Opener took place on Friday & Saturday, January 10/11, at Sentro Deportivo Korsou (SDK) in Curacao.
The Cheetah team were well represented by the following athletes, with most of them having moved up in age group since last season:
The team had a very successful meet, with a total of 21 medals won across all events, and 12 PBs achieved. Some highlights:
Maya earned a bronze medal in the U-11 girls Combined Events (overall), and ran a PB in her silver medal 600m event.
Matthew achieved a silver in the overall U-11 boys Combined Events, and added 3 bronzes in the ball throw, long jump and 60m events.
Anhais earned a gold medal in the overall U-13 girls Combined Events, while achieving a gold and PB in the long jump.
Ny-An won the silver in U-13 girls Combined Events, and scored a gold medal and PB in the ball throw event.
Ju-An placed 4th overall in the U-13 girls group, and continued her undefeated streak in the 800m event.
Chris achieved 2 PBs, in the U-13 boys ball throw and 60m events.
Quiny scored a overall Combined Events bronze medal in the U-15 girls group and a PB in the long jump.
Zoe earned a bronze medal in the U-17 girls 100m hurdles race, and as well a PB in the shot put.
Daniel scored a PB in the U-17 boys long jump, with an impressive distance of 5.52m.
Abraham achieved a gold medal in both the U-17 boys 200m and 400m races, including a PB in the former.
