Kampionato di Korsou 2024

CAB’s “Kampionato di Korsou 2024” meet took place on May 31st & June 1st, at Sentro Deportivo Korsou (SDK) in Curaçao.

The Cheetah team was once again represented by:

• Abraham (U-17 Boys)
• Daniel (U-15 Boys)
• Zoe (U-15 Girls)
• Christopher (U-13 Boys)
• Lishantely (U-13 Girls)
• Ju-An (U-13 Girls)
• Anhais (U-11 Girls)
• Maya (U-9 Girls)
• Matthew (U-9 Boys)

It was a tremedous showing for the Cheetah athletes, who took home a total of 20 medals: 4 overall medals and 16 medals across all events. The athletes also achieved another 20 Personal Bests at the event, a great sign of the constant progress they are making!

Some highlights:

Daniel finished 4th overall in the U-15 boys category, and achieved a PB in the ball throw.

Zoe achieved 2 further PBs, in the U-15 girls high jump and 80m hurdles events.

Ju-An continued her lockhold on the U-13 girls 800m event, having earned yet another gold medal in the even. She also achieved a PB in the 80m event.

Lishantely achieved a Personal Best in the U-13 girls 80m event.

Christopher earned 2 PBs in the U-13 boys long jump and 80m events.

Ny-An had an excellent meet, having earned the overall gold medal in the U-11 girls category, and notably, broke the national record in both the long jump (4.04m) and the event combined points (2018 points)! Further, she earned 3 PBs across her 4 events, .

Anhaïs achieved the overall silver medal in the tough U-11 girls category, having finished with 2 silver and 2 bronze across her events. She also got Personal Bests in the long jump & 60m events.

Matthew earned the overall silver medal in the U-9 boys group, having earned a 2nd consecutive gold medal in the 60m race, a silver in the long jump, and 3 further PBs in total.

Maya had a greet meet, becoming our 2nd athlete to earn a overall gold medal, in the U-9 girls category! She achieved 1 gold and 2 silvers across her events, with PBs in each.
