Run, Jump & Throw 2024

Curaçao Atletiek Bond’s final meet of the 2024 season, “Run, Jump, Throw” took place on December 6-7, at Sentro Deportivo Korsou (SDK) in Curaçao. This was the final opportunity of the year to put the hard work at practice into solid performances, and the Cheetah team did not disappoint!

The Cheetah team was represented by:

• Abraham (U-17 Boys)
• Daniel (U-15 Boys)
• Zoe (U-15 Girls)
• Christopher (U-13 Boys)
• Brevon (U-13 Boys)
• Quinshaintely (U-13 Girls)
• Farexy (U-13 Girls) ***
• Ny-An (U-11 Girls)
• Anhais (U-11 Girls)
• Maya (U-9 Girls)
• Matthew (U-9 Boys)

*** Note that Farexy has been with Cheetah Athletics for the past few months, but her records in 2024 including this meet will officially count for her old team. From January it will be official!

The Cheetah athletes scored a total of 16 medals: 5 first place, 5 second place and 6 third place.

A few highlights:

Abraham ran the U-17 boys 60m, 150m & 300m sprint races, and earned 2 PBs.

Daniel earned a silver and a bronze in the U-15 boys long jump and 600m, respectively – and set PBs in both events!

Brevon ran in both the U-13 boys 60m and 600m races, and earned PBs for both.

Quiny scored a bronze medal in the U-13 girls 60m race, and achieved 3 PBs across her 4 events.

Farexy earned bronze medals in both the U-13 girls ball throw and 600m events!

Ny-An and Anhaïs were part of a 3-way tie for first place in the thrilling U-11 girls 60m event – all 3 winners were clocked at 9.1s!

Besides the shared 60m gold, Ny-An also scored a gold AND a PB in the U-11 girls 600m race; and added 2 bronze medals in the long jump and ball throw.

Besides the shared 60m gold, Anhaïs also earned a gold AND a Curacao NR of 4.14m in the U-11 girls long jump. She also added a silver medal in the ball throw event.

Matthew had a great meet, earning gold in the U-9 boys 60m event, and adding 2 silver medals in the ball throw and long jump events, respectively.

Maya scored a silver in the U-9 girls long jump, and added 2 bronzes in the ball throw and 60m events.
