CAB Meet IV

Curaçao Atletiek Bond Meet IV took place on April 12th & 13th, at Sentro Deportivo Korsou (SDK) in Curaçao.

The Cheetah team was represented by:

• Abraham (U-17 Boys)
• Daniel (U-15 Boys)
• Zoe (U-15 Girls)
• Christopher (U-13 Boys)
• Lishantely (U-13 Girls)
• Ju-An (U-13 Girls)
• Anhais (U-11 Girls)
• Maya (U-9 Girls)
• Matthew (U-9 Boys)

Despite being shorthanded a couple of teammates, the Cheetah athletes still took home a total of 17 medals: 3 overall medals and 14 medals across all events. The athletes also continued their upward progress, garnering 20 Personal Bests at the event!

A few highlights:

Daniel earned a silver medal in the U-15 boys 1200m, and 2 bronze medals in the 80m hurdles and long jump, respectively. He also set 3 new PBs across his events.

Zoe achieved 2 PBs, in the U-15 girls long jump and 1000m.

Ju-An once again finished with a gold medal in the U-13 girls 800m event. She also achieved PBs in the long jump and 80m events.

Lishantely achieved Personal Bests in the U-13 girls 800m, 80m and the ball throw events.

Christopher took home the U-13 boys overall bronze medal, having finished with 3 bronze medals and 3 PBs across his events.

Anhaïs earned an overall gold medal in the U-11 girls category, having amassed 2 first place and 2 second place finishes across her events – all of which were Personal Bests!

Matthew placed 2nd overall in the U-9 boys group, having earned a gold medal in the 60m race, a silver in the long jump, and 3 PBs in total.

Maya earned a bronze medal in the U-9 girls ball throw.

All in all, another solid performance for the Cheetahs!
