MCB Curacao Championships 2026

The club’s standout meet of the year came at the MCB Curacao Championships, held Friday 22 – Saturday 23 May. Eight athletes represented Cheetah: Jerahmeel Groetelaers, Daniël van den Hurk, Brevon Ahrendt, Joëden La Cruz, Elisha Groetelaers, Farexy Browne, Anhais Ahrendt, and Kisheina Johnson-Zimmerman.

Highlights:

• Anhais Ahrendt swept gold in all five of her individual events — 60m, 800m, Ball Throw, High Jump, and Long Jump — every one a personal best, and added gold in the U13 Girls Combined Events with 2696 points, moving her into the Top 3 all-time in Curaçao for U13 Girls combined-events scoring
• Gold – Jerahmeel Groetelaers, Senior Men 800m (2:25.34, PB)
• Gold – Brevon Ahrendt, 800m (2:49.33)
• Gold – Elisha Groetelaers, 400m (1:12.39, PB)
• Silver – Daniël van den Hurk, 200m; Bronze – Long Jump
• Silver – Farexy Browne, Shot Put; Bronze – Ball Throw; also matched her High Jump PB
• Bronze – Joëden La Cruz, 60m (PB), with a PB in the 800m as well

MCB Curacao Championships total: 9 gold, 2 silver, 3 bronze — a season-defining performance
